Notable groundbreakings and construction projects across Ohio: New Gallia County Jail Construction
Gov. and First Lady DeWine toured the new Gallia County Jail project with Tri-State Building Trades Business Manager Mark Johnson on November 29, 2021. A $5.5 million supplementary grant approved by the Ohio Legislature during the bi-annual budget and signed by Gov. DeWine in Dec. 2020 allowed the $21 million project to proceed.
“The Governor was well-received here in Gallia County. Without state funding, this project would not have happened,” said Tri-State Building Trades Business Manager Mark Johnson. Tri-State Building & Construction Tradespeople and signatory contractors bid and were awarded nearly all of the work on this project. “Construction is on schedule and on track to be on budget.”
