The Quinnipiac University Polling Institute released a poll this week showing former Pennsylvania Senator Rich Santorum leading all GOP presidential contenders in Ohio. While the Republican Presidential Primary is far from decided as former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney is still a presumptive favor to win the nomination; many primary voters are now taking a hard look at Santorum.
As a Republican Senator Rick Santorum occasionally sided with labor unions; voting to raise the minimum wage and voted against a national “so called right to work” law. Rather staying consistent in his views on these fundamental labor issues he has now flip flopped. In an interview earlier this year with Fox Newhe now says that he would vote for national “so called right to work” legislation. Judging from Santorum’s recent flip flop its questionable what if any support he would give to organized labor and working families on minimum wage, “so called right to work,” or prevailing wage. With three weeks left until primary voting in Ohio, GOP primary voters have plenty of time to make up their mind as to what Santorum’s real views on labor issues really are.
