Respecting Your Past and Building Your Future
Military personnel, veterans and those who have military training are a valued part of the Ohio Building Trades workforce. The work ethic, leadership, teamwork, and communications skills you learned in the military are highly sought-after and rewarded in the Building Trades.
Your technical skills are also sought after. Many crafts offer direct entry to any veteran honorably discharged, despite MOS. On the job training (OJT) and related instruction (RI) credit hours are often awarded for military personnel and veterans, too.
Working with the Ohio Department of Veterans Services and the Ohio National Guard, as well as the national Helmets to Hardhats program, Ohio’s Building Trades are eager to help start the next chapter of your life as a skilled craftsman.
From Infantryman to Construction Engineering Specialist and everyone in between, there is a path for every MOS to build their future as a Building Trades journeyman.
ACT Ohio represents 12 construction trades. Click here to find out more about each trade.
