Innovation Ohio, a state policy think tank, released a report that breaks down Gov. Kasich Budget Cuts to Ohio’s 88 counties. The report includes the state funding cuts to local government and school districts will experience in fiscal year 2012 compared to fiscal year 2011, prior to the state budgets enactment.
Franklin County will experience a $174,056,944 cut in state funding in the new fiscal year. Cuyahoga County will face a $229,300,753 cut and Hamilton County will experience a reduction of $135,987,309 in state support. The cuts to local governments and school districts were approved by General Assembly Republicans and signed into law by Gov. John Kasich.
